I was spending time outside with my family when we decided to go on (another) family walk. I thought this was a perfect time to start look for a plant, tree, insect or bird for this assignment. As I was looking nothing was standing out, I saw the same trees and shrubs I see every time I walk in my neighborhood. Towards the end of the walk one plant stuck out it was bright and blue right along someone’s fence. It had such a vibrant color and did not look like it belonged on the corner of someone’s fence next to shrubs and dirt. I had never seen this prior to today even though I walk by here almost everyday. I snapped a picture then began to research it. Finding the name of this flower was harder than I thought. I finally found it online for sale at home depot, the name on home depot was “Blue Flowers Dwarf Blue Veronica Live Bareroot Perennial Plants ”. The final consensus after looking at many sites and many flowers is that it is a Blue Perennial Plant. I enjoyed completing this assignment because it showed me something beautiful that I never noticed on my daily walk before. (Eleni LeClair)
