Sometimes I’m afraid of tomorrow.
Sometimes I'm afraid of today.
Sometimes I'm afraid that
I let yesterday slip away.

But no matter what I fear,
it always stays the same.
The sun will never fail to set
and rise once more each day.

Sometimes I doubt myself,
before recalling the most important thing;
value isn't measured by
the success one solitary day will bring.

The only thing that's certain,
is the cadence of the clocks,
playing tick-tock, tick-tock,
even after the performance stops.

Sometimes life gets hard,
and stale, and bleak, and rotten.
But that's when all our strength
must never be forgotten.

For so many days now,
we've conquered the unknown.
So maybe, that lurking fear,
has been an ally, testing us as we've grown.
