Austin, born in Greenwich Connecticut, grew up in the small town of North Salem, New York in Westchester County. He has a younger brother named Shane who is still currently in high school. One of his earliest memories as a small child is unbuckling the safety strap of his swing on the playground one day, sending himself to the emergency room with a cut in the back of the head. His favorite candy is Reeses Piece’s, but specifically the dark chocolate type from Trader Joes. During high school, Austin was a starter on his basketball team, and had the opportunity to play in college but came here instead. He changed his major for this semester from Sports Health to Business Undeclared because he didn’t like anatomy. He’s now thinking about either Sports Management or Marketing, but he isn’t sure which one he likes better. Austin’s favorite breakfast is a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a roll with hot sauce, and he described how he doesn’t get them while he’s at school because he doesn’t believe they are as good as the ones in New York. Austin’s in a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend from high school and their one year anniversary is this upcoming Tuesday. One of his biggest fears is of bees and his New Year’s resolution this year is to cut out the amount of time he procrastinates and to find a new hobby.

Hannah was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. This town was unrecognizable to most out-of-staters, but it was home to most of her Dad’s side of the family. Her favorite memories as a child were the Sunday night dinners at her Great-grandmother’s home. As she grew up she went to both Boonsboro Middle and High school, located in an area where you can’t go one minute without seeing a cow. She ran varsity cross country and track and her teammates soon became her family. Before finding her love for running, she had swum competitively for nine years. Being from Maryland, this put many of her championships in the heart of Baltimore and the Naval Academy. She was lucky enough to find herself swimming in the same pool as Micheal Phelps on multiple occasions. Despite being constantly active and traveling to meets, for most of her childhood and teenage years, she still was able to find time for food. Her favorite place to get food at home is the local Pennsylvania Dutch Market where she gets the Shrimp Salad sandwich and potato candy. This passion for food spiraled into her decision to study Nutrition and Dietetics, where she hopes to continue on an receive a master’s in Public Health. After school, and after many years of working to begin to pay off the large sums of student debt her goal is to work in for a nonprofit organization that helps developing nations after disaster strikes.

Colleen was born on Long Island, New York and grew up in a small beach community on the north shore. Every summer growing up she went to a beach camp where she met her best friends from home. She has a younger brother, Kevin and a dog named Hampton. Her favorite memories from high school were playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse and spending time with her teammates. Colleen is currently on the club soccer team and wants to play lacrosse in the Spring. When she first got to Delaware, she was a Marketing major but after she did an internship at a company over winter break, she realized that business is not what she wanted to do. She decided to do what she originally wanted to do, which is Dietetics and she has been loving her classes. Colleen is also interested in minoring in Spanish for Healthcare and wants to study abroad in Spain. In high school, she went there for two weeks to study with her class and really loved the culture there. She has many talents but her favorite one to tell people is that she can eat around 15 cheese sticks under three minutes and she’s very proud of that. The ocean is her favorite place to be and she loves to drive around in her car when she’s bored and blast music. She listens to a lot of different music, but she said that she is currently in a “country music phase.” When she’s older, she wants to live close to the beach with her family and have her own private practice. She wants to specialize in the diets of autistic children and adults and help them with their food choices.
