• Madison Gac

Madison has a mom, dad, and a little brother who is eleven. Her brother is named Caspian, and he was born in 2008 when Narnia was a hot topic. Madison helped make the decision to name him after the character from Narnia. Madison’s last name is Gac, which is a polish name and one of the few that doesn’t end in “ski”.

Madison is a civil engineer major at the University of Delaware, and hopes to engineer bridges one day. When she is not working away in the classroom, she enjoys spending her free time playing lacrosse or tennis with her friends. Madison played boys lacrosse in highschool because her school did not offer girls lacrosse. She played attack, and pushed herself so hard she suffered some injuries that still bother her today. She also grew up playing softball.

Madison enjoys listening to punk rock and metal music. She is very superstitious, which is something she inherits from her mother. Madison’s goal is to kill it in all her classes, and graduate school. She hopes to travel the world after school, and she doesn’t want children. Although, she believes she can be talked into having kids.

  • MaryAnn

MaryAnn is a freshman majoring in biology. With her degree she either wants to become a marine biologist or a psychologist. For her, it is sort of stressful being at UD, with her classes and searching for a local job, but it will all help her accomplish her goal of finishing college and doing well in life.

MaryAnn’s favorite color is green, her favorite types of food are Italian and Mexican, and her favorite types of music are jazz and alternative rock. She played lacrosse up until 8th grade and agrees it’s not as fun as boy’s lacrosse because you’re not allowed to hit people.

She is from New Fairfield, Connecticut. In Connecticut, she has an 11 year old brother and three older sisters, ages 20, 24, and 26. She has no pets because one of her sisters is allergic, but one day would love to have 2 dogs and a cat. She and her family are very close. MaryAnn is named after not one, but both of her grandmothers. Also, she has 35 cousins on her mom’s side and 11 on her dad’s side. One day, she hopes to have 3 children of her own. And in a perfect world, she would want to have two boys then a girl. She would like to live in Connecticut in the future or make the move to North Carolina.

  • Max Pickles

Max is from Delaware, where he has an older brother of 25, and a dog named Honey, who’s very small but makes up for it with her big personality. When he was younger he lived in California for a while and loved the location and temperature, but nonetheless feels like Delaware is his home.

Max is a sophomore who transferred here from Bard College in upstate New York. He finds he likes UD’s atmosphere, and feels like the science program here would better help him achieve his goal to become a plastic surgeon. He aspires to go into that medical field because he finds reconstructive surgery fascinating, and feels it has the most unique cases in where he will be able to problem-solve and find new and revolutionary ways of helping people. His work at the hospital as a research student will surely help with this goal.

Along with his passion for medicine, Max also loves to play soccer, he played for Bard college before transferring here and finds himself missing it sometimes. He also enjoys the color purple and playing video games. His favorite food is breakfast food–but never really eats breakfast–and appreciates music styles like alternative rock, EDM, and rap. He, like Madison, is very superstitious which is evident in his owning a lucky pencil for tests, or needing to put his cleats on in a specific way before a soccer game (right shoe then left). And in the future, along with being a successful plastic surgeon, he would also like to be famous on youtube.
